Picture Change

Hello everyone!

By now, you know how much I like to change things up around my house.  I often change things according to the season too.  With Spring around the corner, I decided to lighten up the mantel just a tad with a smaller and lighter picture.  I had a cow canvas hanging above it, but was ready for something lighter for now.  Don't worry, the cow canvas is safe and sound until I decide to use it again.  LOL!

The good thing is that I have my grey painted cabinet doors propped up on the mantel which allows me to use smaller scale items without them looking too small. It creates a frame for other objects.

So I placed my small botanical print that was hanging in the powder room in place of the cow canvas.  It allows more of the grey cabinet doors to show which really lightens up the space for Spring and Summer.

It would look completely lost without the cabinet doors behind it.  I love a layered look above the mantel anyway.

So, with moving that picture out of the powder room, I was left with an empty spot on the wall to fill.  I found this darling little deer picture to hang there.

I love the distressed frame and the subtle colors in the picture.

I thought about using this one over the mantel, but the actual picture size is smaller even though the frame is larger.  Does that make sense?  It didn't have the impact that I was looking for.  So, I think it's perfect in here instead.

No, this is not the picture I've been waiting on either!  I believe it is on a slow boat from China right now.  LOL!

I hope you enjoyed your visit here.

Thanks for stopping by!
